Design considerations for yoke formwork are as follows:

(1) The fitting between the yoke plate structure and the block parts adopts the intermediate fitting or light fitting method. For example, the strong pressure fitting will change the yoke plate. (2) The yoke plate is also the retaining function of the block parts. In order to bear the side pressure and surface pressure of the block parts, it must have sufficient rigidity. In addition, in order to closely combine the yoke plate groove and the block parts, the groove corners shall be processed into a gap. If the yoke plate groove corners cannot be processed into a gap, the block parts must be processed into a gap. (3) The internal shape of the block parts shall be considered during the division, and the datum plane must be clear. In order to avoid deformation during stamping, attention should also be paid to the shape of each block part. (4) When the yoke plate is assembled with many block parts, the pitch changes due to the accumulated processing error of each block part. The solution is to design the middle block parts in an adjustable way. (5) The block parts adopt side-by-side combined mold structure, because the block parts will bear side pressure during punching and cutting, resulting in gaps between the block parts or inclination of the block parts. This phenomenon is an important reason for poor stamping such as poor stamping size and chip blockage, so adequate countermeasures must be taken.
